Mike Dawes Asbury Park Concert reviews
It was coo for what it was....
It was nothing like the movie, MC Lyte started the show by saying it definitely wasn't what I expected. IJS, that would've been helpful information at the time of purchase. I felt like it was a good play/musical, all things considered. My favorite ladies and I had a nice Sunday afternoon out. I WANTED MORE RAHEEM! We got worried when there was no sign of him halfway through the second act, but it was AWESOME once he came out. Despite being a LOT OF BIT pregnant, Marsha still gave us that ONE good song, which I appreciated. Mike Dawes was hilarious. I recommend not charging for programs because I had no clue who the other actors or singers were outside of the "famous" cast. Be nice enough to announce the cast when they come out to bow if you're going to sell programs. I didn't know the main character was Tony Grant from the group Az Yet. WHO KNEW that Chaz Lamar Shepherd, the little brother killed in Set it Off, could sing? I DIDN'T! He was VERY FUNNY in the show. It was a good show overall, OVERPRICED for what it was, but can't cry over spilled milk.
